Sense of Entitlement
Wow, Halloween, let's not start. I'd rather write about entitlement. I respect women and love them and think they are equally as important in every aspect of life as men. The only issue I have is this whole feminist movement that hasn't stopped since before the civil rights' movements in the US. I compare it to the racial civil rights movement. I am in no way racist and I know all men regardless of race ethnicity or color are equal.
What has unfortunately happened is that the existence of inequality and racism in the past has caused a sort of animosity between difference races and genders. I have heard and experienced insults against "white" people for enslaving "black" people and being racists etc. Things that I did not do, nor did my parents or grandparents, for four or five generations back, yet the animosity still exists, the uneasy relationship still lingers. Thankfully I think with racism it's on the way out and is a few and far between situation.
Women, on the other hand, still have that subconsciously engrained in their mind. Society has made it abundantly clear that women are not just bare foot and pregnant baby makers. This is true they're not at all, but the problem with society and feminism is that equal but different isn't good enough, it has to literally be the same. I think women are, as stated, just as important as men in society, obviously you can't have one without the other, but they are different. What happens is in thinking this men are considered pigs that only want a sex-slave to have his kids and clean the house all day and make dinner. This is not true. Men want a woman that is educated and down to earth, but also one that doesn't think it's degrading to be a mother and stay at home with the kids. If anything true motherhood is more important, without it life wouldn't even exist.
The part of women is pretty clear, the part of men is nonphysical side of life, the psychological, emotional, material and spiritual parts of life. A woman gives life and nurtures, protects, and feed her babies. The first birth. Men are responsible for the 'second' birth, so to speak. The are responsible for the child staying clothed, fed, educated and disciplined. Men have to provide for the material needs of their children and family, which supports what the woman does in the home, she feeds and teaches and loves her children, but needs the money to buys the necessities. A single mom having to work and raise her kids is too much to ask, it's not fair to any mother.
The point is that the two are together and different, that's the nature of a marriage; working together for a common cause, raising the family. In thinking this, men do not want a woman to stay home and just be a machine for whatever the man wants and demands, if that's the case, you're with the wrong man. But there is no need to think less of him for wanting a woman who knows her role in life, and knows that it's not degrading or sexist, it's beautiful and natural, that is how we were made and how the world should work.
The reason there is so much war and violence and promiscuity in the world is because the family is slowly being destroyed and undermined. Imagine if every child had a good home, with a mother and father who worked together and eat did their part to raise the family. It is not impossible, it doesn't happen now because most of us are selfish, because society says we don't have to give up what we want, we don't or shouldn't have to sacrifice anything. Family takes a second place to our own needs, which is exact what is destroying it, and therefore destroying society.
It's a maturity thing too, the younger we are the more selfish we are, but it's necessary. Think of a infant, completely dependent on the mother because it is unable to feed itself, etc. The older we are the more independent we become, it's called growing up, being an adult. Again the way the media and society portrays it, we never really grow up, since we are still selfish.
By the way, I didn't proof read this, I just typed it straight out. Hence any grammatical errors.

Word Thief
It seems to me that Obama uses what he likes of Mitt Romeny as his own words. Case and point, Mitt Romeny has been saying, 'I want to close loop holes in the taxes of wealthier people etc' and Obama just said, 'We need to create jobs...I want to close loop holes that allow companies to deduct expenses when they move to China...". I don't like writing a blog because it makes me feel like I need to write an essay when all I want to write is half a paragraph. talis est vita.
